This year marks a huge milestone for We Are Beams, celebrating 30 years of providing a lifeline to disabled children and their families. For three decades, our mission has been to show that with the right support, anything is possible.
To help us celebrate this special anniversary year in style, our incredible Patron and Paralympian, JohnBoy Smith, is taking his support to whole new heights, literally! He is taking on a breathtaking wheelchair climb over the iconic O2 Arena on Thursday 25th June to raise vital funds for our next 30 years and beyond.
Sharing his thoughts on the challenge, JohnBoy said,
“I’m incredibly honoured to be taking on this challenge for We Are Beams, a charity that I am proud to support. Climbing The O2 in my wheelchair will definitely test me both physically and mentally, but I want to show that disability should never limit ambition or possibility.”
Beams has been there for families when they need it most through respite care, holiday clubs, crucial family support and more. But we can only keep these vital services running with the bravery of challengers like JohnBoy, and the kindness of supporters like you.
JohnBoy is conquering the O2 to ensure the next generation of children have the support they need to thrive.
