Imagine a future where every family with a disabled child has the support they need to reach their full potential. That is what we are working towards at We Are Beams.

We support families every step of the way through the unique challenges of raising a disabled child. We do this by offering a variety of services including organised short breaks, holiday clubs, social activities, family support, financial advice, respite and overnight stays.

Every ticket you buy today will help children with disabilities.

You can enter online or request a book of 10 tickets that you can sell to your friends and family by emailing fundraising@wearebeams.org.uk.

We Are Beams believe that children like Caitlyn and those with the most complex disabilities can thrive and reach their full potential with the right support.

Beams support over 450 children and their families including Caitlyn who is 15 years old.

Caitlyn was born extremely premature at just 26 weeks. As a result of a severe brain bleed and other complications, she now faces multiple challenges, including Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, visual impairment, Autism, sleep disturbances and severe learning difficulties.

Beams is making a real difference for Caitlyn and her family. Our holiday clubs and overnight respite are building Caitlyn’s confidence, independence and providing much-needed support for the whole family. When Caitlyn stays at Beams, her parents can recharge and spend quality time with their other daughter.

We have been in crisis before and it was not a good time for us. Beams has given us much needed respite, we are able to plan activities that Caitlyn could not cope with and I am reassured knowing the staff are more than capable of meeting Caitlyn’s needs.”

There is so much love within the family for Caitlyn and although they face significant challenges and, an uncertain future due to Caitlyn's complex medical needs, with Beams by their side, the family strive to maintain a positive and fulfilling life.

Our mission is to provide comprehensive support services to children and young people with any form of physical, learning or sensory impairment living in Dartford, Gravesham, Sevenoaks and the surrounding areas.

We aim to support the whole family through a range of services that directly benefit and assist those dealing with the challenges of raising a disabled child.
